heat of august pepper club

this may have been the best intro we have received for a project when danny reached out to us and told us about his pepper grow op. every day, danny climbs to the rooftop of his brownstone in brooklyn, Nyc, to water and care for his chilli pepper plants. he then takes that deliciousness and makes a spread of hot sauces, hot honeys and pepper flakes.

something that dang cool needed a killer identity to go with it, so we got to work. we wanted to stay clear of the cliche “burn your face off” hot sauce branding, whilst also bringing the story to the forefront of his brand. so with some brownstone illustration, incorporating the rooftop chillis, some retro custom type work, combined with some bold colours, we landed on a pretty awesome identity. check it out below.
